TED Talk: Saving for tomorrow, tomorrow

Do you have money saved for the future? In this TED Talk, financial behaviour specialist Shlomo Benartzi uses practical examples to show us how our minds trick us into spending today instead of saving for tomorrow.

Benartzi also presents a solution called ‘Save more not today, tomorrow’, a very simple idea  which works on percentages: with each raise, comes a new percentage of savings. So that you save more when you earn more money, and that means you don’t really cut spends.
