For over twenty years Street UK has been offering a short term loan alternative to those who might not be able to get credit elsewhere in the West Midlands. We are responsible and ethical lenders who offer security and benefits to those who borrow from us.
So what are the key benefits to taking out a Street UK loan over other similar loan providers?
No penalty interest
We do not charge any penalty interest. We work with our customers before the loan is delivered to ensure they can pay it back in a way that suits them. If you do not pass our affordability test, we won’t be able to lend to you. We will, however, try to assist you in other ways.
Flexible repayment options
We are able to take repayments to suit you, either weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly or monthly. It is important to us that all our customers are comfortable with their repayment plan.
Budgeting advice and support
During and after the application process we will provide you with useful advice and tips on how to manage your money more effectively. We may also direct you to organisations that specialise in budget support.
Cheaper than payday loans and doorstep loans
As a not-for-profit social enterprise, our charges only cover the cost of providing the service to you. We are also a direct lender, not a broker, which means we can offer loans with no unfair charges or costs.
No continuous payment
We do not use Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) to process your repayments. All our loan repayments are taken via direct debit, affording you peace of mind and no surprises. You will always know when the next payment is due and how much it will be.
Are you on benefits and in need of a loan today from a direct lender?
We often see customers contacting us about having bad credit or being on benefits and wondering if they can still take advantage of our direct loans. The answer is it’s likely that you can, but not confirmed.
You’ll need to speak to one of our members of staff to ensure that you are doing the best thing for yourself financially and being financially responsible.
The Street UK benefit calculator can help you realise if you’re getting the support you need from the government. We offer a quick calculator and a more in-depth calculator that could provide you with better insight into the money you should be receiving.
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a universal credit calculator however you can use the Governments benefit/universal credit calculator.
None of the information put into either benefit calculator will be held into account when looking at microloan or other loan applications.
